Biography

My name is Hayden Kwon, and I am a professional math tutor with over 11 years of dedicated international experience. My academic journey began at the prestigious Sejong Science Highschool in South Korea, a specialized institution for gifted students, from which I graduated early. I continued my education at the top-ranked Yonsei University, where I pursued an intensive course of study in Computer Science before relocating to the United States.
My teaching career spans two countries. For five years in South Korea, I specialized in advanced mathematics, including preparation for the Math Olympiad and Korean SAT. For the past six years in the US, I have successfully guided students through a range of standardized tests, including the ISEE, MOEM, PSAT, and SAT.
My teaching philosophy centers on building a deep, conceptual understanding of mathematics. Rather than having students memorize formulas to solve problems mechanistically, I focus on the "why" behind each concept. This approach develops strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, enabling students to solve problems strategically and confidently, even when faced with unfamiliar challenges.
