Biography

Jeanette earned a BS from Stanford University in Earth Systems and completed UCLA’s professional program in television writing. She has written and worked on numerous television shows and films for companies like Hulu, Warner Bros, DreamWorks, Netflix, HBO, 20th Century Animation, and Showtime. Jeanette’s projects have also been supported by organizations like Sundance, Film Independent, and Berlinale. In addition, she has also provided writing services in advertising and education for clients like TikTok, Stripe, and Black Girls Code. Some of her videos have reached over 300k+ views online. Before pursuing her writing career, Jeanette was a researcher at UC Davis and worked on social and environmental justice projects in Northern California and South America, where she learned Spanish. She is excited to share her love of writing, literature, history, languages, geography, and environmental science with her students. Jeanette previously taught English to ESL learners aged 5-60 years old and has tutored young learners in reading, writing, and math. She also has expertise in providing mentorship in college essay writing for high school students.
