Biography

Ye Un Kim is a passionate artist and a piano teacher. She completed her Bachelor of Music in piano performance at the University of Texas at Austin with Professor Nancy Garrett, Master’s degree, and Graduate Certificate at the University of Southern California under Professor Kevin Fitz-Gerald. For her outstanding performance, Ye Un Kim was selected as a recipient of various scholarships such as the Danielle J. Martin Memorial Scholarship at the University of Texas for four years and the USC Thornton School of Music Scholarship for the 2016-2018 academic year.


Besides being a prize winner at Nilsson Competition, Ye Un Kim has been an active performer in numerous solo and chamber recitals. She is also a capable accompanist who has worked for Hessed Choir, Austin Hyde Park Baptist Church, and Young Korean Ministry at LA Sarang Community Church.


She is a respectful teacher caring for students’ personalities. She considers students’ strengths and weaknesses and designs lessons based on each one’s personal characteristics with brilliant
ideas to help them to learn music/piano fun and effective.
